TesboLocsy — Locator Creator ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension designed for QA engineers, developers, and automation testers. It allows users to capture XPath and CSS locators from web page elements directly in their browser.
This Privacy Policy describes how the Extension handles information. By installing or using TesboLocsy, you agree to this policy.
TesboLocsy does not collect, transmit, or share any of the following:
No names, email addresses, account details, or any personally identifiable information.
We do not track, record, or transmit which websites you visit.
The extension reads element attributes only when you actively click an element or trigger Auto Generate. This data never leaves your device.
No usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioural data are collected or sent to any server.
Element preview screenshots are captured locally using the Chrome captureVisibleTab API and stored only on your device. They are never uploaded.
All data generated by TesboLocsy is stored exclusively in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage APIs and is never transmitted outside your device.
You can delete all stored data at any time by clicking "Clear All Locators" in the extension popup or dashboard, or by removing the extension entirely from Chrome.
TesboLocsy requests the minimum permissions required to function:
activeTab
Read the currently active tab to capture element locators when you click an element.
tabs
Access tab information (page title, URL) to label captured locators correctly.
storage
Save and retrieve locators locally via chrome.storage.local.
scripting
Inject the content script into pages to enable element inspection and auto-generate.
contextMenus
Add "Copy XPath"/"Copy CSS Selector"/"Copy Playwright Snippet" items to the right-click menu.
sidePanel
Show the optional Live Script Panel — a side panel docked next to your browser tab that live-renders the Playwright script as you capture locators. Reads the same locally-stored locator data as the rest of the extension; nothing new is collected or transmitted.
None of these permissions are used to send data to external servers.
TesboLocsy does not integrate with, communicate with, or load resources from any third-party service, analytics platform, advertising network, or remote server. The extension operates entirely offline after installation.
TesboLocsy does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because we collect no data whatsoever, the extension is safe for users of all ages.
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be published with a revised effective date. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
